Trailer: "The Hunger Games" with Jennifer Lawrence

The first trailer for The Hunger Games , Jennifer Lawrence ( Winter Bone , X -Men: First Class ) and Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right ) , was released November 14 . Based on the first novel in the trilogy Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins People , the film offers a look at the post-apocalyptic world of Panem . It opens with Katniss Everdeen in the lush forest home outside the district 12 and ending with her into the woods Hunger Games arena . The history of sci-fi action focuses on the harvest , when the male and female adolescents are selected for a competition in which they fight to the death that people watch on television. Katniss volunteers to replace the place of her younger sister for the game. During the training scenes are presented , but there are no sequences of violent games .
