Here is a pleasant surprise for eco-friendly shoe lovers. Neuaura introduces a new brand called Renee!
Renee is an eco-friendly shoe brand, which consists of ballerinas that are casual and comfortable. Arti Upadhyay, founder Neuaura, was inspired to start Renee because she was easy to carry travel shoe that is eco-friendly and comfortable yet still has the style and flair.
Upadhyay said: "I travel so much and I walk every day, so I wanted a comfortable travel shoe that is good for the planet, good for my legs and would fit easily into my bag."
For the first season, the line consists of 2 ballerina styles in multiple colors using eco-friendly materials like hemp, organic cotton canvas and recycled materials. Footbed is made of anti-microbial molded memory foam and these adorable shoes also come with a cotton canvas travel bag. The design of the shoe is casual and classic with the contemporary shape that compliments your feet.
"When you create a line I decided that a ballerina as a home design because the silhouette can easily be paired with any outfit and be a comfort shoe," says Upadhyay. "I also wanted to be collapsible so that the shoes are easy to carry around."
Upadhyay is also a designer Neuaura that are environmentally conscious vegan footwear brand that focuses on women's contemporary and casual styles. For spring 2012, Upadhyay really draw inspiration from the graphics and colors on the canvas, and creativity are combined with faux nubuck, laser cut materials, resulting in a faux suede line that says "eco-chic."
"This season more than ever I was really inspired by opera, painting, floral prints, raffia, cork and wanted to find a way to uniquely combine it with newspapers and laser cut materials," she says. "I wanted to share ton collection of earthy feel still be a city-chic."
