Apple-has released a software update to fix the problem, which is shortening the battery on some iPhones, iPads and iPods.
Apple-has said that a small number of customers have reported lower - than - expected battery on devices running IOS 5 operating system company. This is the software that has the iPhone 4S and was available as a free update of some of the old equipment - both iPads, iPhone 3GS and 4 and the two newest models of iPod Touch.
Apple on Thursday released version 5.0.1 to fix the errors it found the program. Users can receive updates by connecting iTunes.
Other changes include better voice recognition on the Australian use of dictation.
Some users who have upgraded the software, said that they still have issues with battery life. Apple on Friday announced the resumption of the many problems, "We are continuing our investigation into the few remaining issues."
